Who we are

Trishika Tours is a travel agency operating from S.T Plaza, N.S. Road, Jaigaon, Alipurduar, West Bengal 736182, India. We have arranged tours to Bhutan, Sikkim, Darjeeling, Dooars, Nepal and North East India since 2018.

This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Rules, 2011, published by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.

Your consent

We collect your information only with your consent. You give that consent when you send us an enquiry, fill in a form on this website, message us on WhatsApp, or contact us through a Facebook, Instagram or Google advertisement.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to raytinku66@gmail.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it, and it may mean we can no longer arrange a trip that is already in progress.

What we collect

When you enquire, we collect your name, phone number, email address, travel dates, number of travellers and anything else you choose to tell us about your trip.

We do not collect or store your identity documents. We never ask you to send a photograph or scan of your Aadhaar, Voter ID or passport, and we do not keep copies of them anywhere.

Where a permit, a hotel or an immigration counter requires proof of identity, you carry your own original document and show it in person. This follows the guidance of the Unique Identification Authority of India, which advises that you should never share your Aadhaar copy or Aadhaar number carelessly.

If anyone claiming to be from Trishika Tours asks you to send an ID copy by message or email, it is not us. Please call +91 70635 01986 before responding.

If you make a booking, we keep a record of the payment — the amount, the date and the reference number. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or bank password. Payments are handled by your own bank or payment provider.

Our website collects basic technical information such as your browser type, approximate location and the pages you visit.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry and prepare an itinerary. To book hotels, vehicles and permits on your behalf. To contact you before and during your trip. To keep the booking and payment records that Indian tax law requires. To improve this website and to measure whether our advertising is working.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you, and we do not sell it.

Advertising, cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar tools to keep this website working, to understand how visitors use it, and to measure our advertising:

Google Analytics — how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found us.
Google Ads — which advertisements led to an enquiry, and showing our advertisements again to people who have visited this website.
Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) — the same, for our Facebook and Instagram advertising.

If you send us an enquiry through a Facebook or Instagram Lead Ad, the name, phone number and email address you type into that form are passed to us by Meta. We use them only to reply to your enquiry and to plan your trip. Meta also handles that information under its own privacy policy.

Because of these tools, you may see our advertisements on other websites, on Facebook or on Instagram after visiting this site. You can stop this at any time through your Google Ads settings, your Facebook ad preferences, or by blocking cookies in your browser. Blocking cookies may stop parts of this website working as intended.

Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary, and only with the people involved in delivering your trip: hotels and resorts, transport operators and drivers, guides, and the government permit offices listed below.

Depending on where you travel, your name, travel dates and vehicle details may be submitted to:

Department of Immigration, Royal Government of Bhutan and the Department of Tourism, Bhutan — for Bhutan entry permits and the Sustainable Development Fee.
Tourism & Civil Aviation Department, Government of Sikkim — for Inner Line Permits, Nathula and North Sikkim.
Inner Line Permit portal, Government of Arunachal Pradesh — for entry to Arunachal Pradesh.
Department of Tourism, Government of West Bengal — for Darjeeling and the Dooars forest areas.
Meghalaya Tourism and Assam Tourism — for North East itineraries.
Department of Immigration, Government of Nepal — for Nepal entry.

We also use ordinary business services that handle information on our behalf — our website hosting company, Google and Meta as described above, and WhatsApp, which we use to talk to customers. Each of these operates under its own privacy terms.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone for marketing purposes.

Information leaving India

Some of the services above — Google, Meta and WhatsApp — store information on computers outside India. Where your trip involves Bhutan or Nepal, we pass your name and travel dates to permit offices, hotels or transport operators in those countries so they can hold your booking and issue your permit. We share only what is needed, and only for that purpose.

How we protect it

We keep your information on password-protected phones and computers, and we limit access to the people who need it to arrange your trip. This website uses a secure encrypted connection. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe and we do not keep information we no longer need.

If something goes wrong

If your personal information is ever lost, leaked or accessed by someone who should not have it, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as soon as we reasonably can, explain what happened, and tell you what to do about it.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for up to two years, so we can help quickly if you come back to us. Booking and payment records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires — currently eight years. Website analytics are kept for up to two years. After that, information is deleted.

Children

This website is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years of age. Where a child travels with you, we take their name and age from you, the parent or guardian, and we use it only to arrange the trip. If you believe we hold information about a child that we should not, write to us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you. You can ask us to correct anything that is wrong or out of date. You can ask us to delete it. You can withdraw your consent. You can nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.

Write to raytinku66@gmail.com and we will reply within 30 days. There is no charge. Deleting information may mean we can no longer manage a booking that is already in progress.

We acknowledge every complaint and resolve it within 30 days. If you are still not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or to the National Consumer Helpline.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Where a change is significant, we will say so on this page.
