Why go to Nepal
Nepal offers the widest range of any destination we cover. In one trip you can walk through medieval temple squares in Kathmandu, watch the Annapurna range light up over a lake in Pokhara, and ride an elephant-grass safari in Chitwan at 500 feet above sea level.
For Indian travellers it is straightforward: no visa is required, and the Indian rupee is widely accepted. The classic circuit is Kathmandu, Nagarkot for sunrise, then Pokhara, with Chitwan added if you have the days.
Six to seven nights covers the circuit comfortably. Trekkers should allow more — the Annapurna and Everest region routes need eight days upwards.

Practical notes before you book
Do Indians need a visa for Nepal?
No. Indian nationals do not need a visa or a passport to enter Nepal, though carrying a passport is strongly recommended. A Voter ID card or Aadhaar is generally accepted, but airlines usually ask for a passport if you are flying.
Is Indian currency accepted?
Yes, widely — but notes above ₹100 are officially restricted in Nepal and many businesses will refuse ₹500 notes. Carry smaller denominations or exchange on arrival.
When is the best time to go?
October and November give the clearest mountain views and stable weather. March and April are also excellent, with rhododendrons in bloom at altitude. Monsoon, June to September, brings cloud that hides the mountains for days at a time.
Can beginners trek in Nepal?
Yes. Routes like Poon Hill in the Annapurna region take four to five days and need no technical skill, only reasonable fitness. Everest Base Camp is considerably harder and needs proper acclimatisation days built in.
How do we get there?
Most travellers fly to Kathmandu from Delhi, Kolkata or Bagdogra. Overland entry via Kakarbhitta is possible from Siliguri and works well if you are already in this region.
